Dean E. Rodwell, M.S.

Dean Rodwell has a total of ten years experience working in three pharmaceutical companies (Penwalt Corporation, Lederle Laboratories, and G.D. Searle) in non-clinical toxicology.  During the next 30 years he worked at five US CRO’s (IRDC, WIL Research Laboratories, Springborn Life Sciences, Huntingdon Life Sciences, and IIT Research Institute) and two CRO’s (BioDuro and Medicilon/MPI) in P.R. China.  He has worked at the bench and in management.  For an additional three years Dean was president of Rodwell & Associates, directing nonclinical studies and interacting with the FDA.

 

During employment at the CRO’s and when consulting, Dean provided assistance in the design of research facilities and vivariums.  He also assisted with selection and implementation of systems for preclinical data collection and data management.  During his three years in China, Dean obtained AAALAC accreditation for three separate laboratories (National Center for Safety Evaluation of Drugs: NCSED in Beijing; BioDuro, LLC, in Beijing; and Medicilon/MPI Preclinical Research in Shanghai).

 

Dean was a co-founder of the Midwest Teratology Association (MTA) in 1976.  He has over 80 abstracts and publications in toxicology and served as an adjunct professor at Ashland College, teaching an applied toxicology course for toxicology majors.
